I just did, a $40.00 bottle of Russian Vodka (thought out, a really cool bottle). The only reason was his wife sent over a can of fudge.
No, and soon that will lead to required giving instead of a desire to give. As the employee you are not required to gift the boss. If you are friends (small office) gifting is nice, again not required.

One of my boss invited all employees for superbowl party. I am going with my family. Should I take any gift for her(age 45-50)? If yes, any gift ideas. I don’t drink alcohol but she does. It’s a partnership business. I don’t think I have to take anything for other boss. Do I?
Call and ask if she wants you to provide anything for the party (drinks, chips, etc.). If not, then just bring a bottle of wine that she likes. Keep it simple and don’t make a big deal of it. Better prepared than not…..

Our son was just discharged from the NICU this past weekend, and we have small gifts for the nursing staff. Just 2 boxes of good chocolates and cards. One box of chocolates for each shift. My question is, can we deliver both boxes at the same time, or do we need to deliver during each shift? Also, will one card for the entire nursing staff work?
One card will do, everyone will read it (you might think of including a photo of your son - they’ll probably post it somewhere and keep it there forever!) - and just bring in the three boxes at the same time with a post-it on each one designating which shift they are for. It is nice of you to think of the nurses - they’ll appreciate it! PS - Congrats!!!

I have a website that sells electronics, and I wanted to give my customers the option of purchasing a gift card. I don’t want a physical card but only a virtual one.
Seems this is a little complicated because there are many ways to do this. Most effective is that you will need a database and side server code to select a random number after purchase to send with an email to the customer and must be logged in the database as to how much it is (this is done by a web page on your site where they pay for it through your cart system). Now when they finish checkout you will have to have a form that your customer can enter the code and redeem it which the code should then subtract the total from the amount and if fully used the database must delete the data. If you except paypal, paypal has a button that will allow you to accept certificates and this is the easiest way to do it and all they do is enter the amount they want. If you have the right software this is easy, and unless your a pro this will be hard. to do.

I am thinking about giving a gift to the L&D nurses when my son is born. They tend to do a majority of the dirty work and offer the most physical and emotional support of the hospital staff. What is an appropriate gift that I can give them during my stay? I was thinking like a big box of chocolates they could all share, or is that a lame gift?
That is a perfect gift! Make sure to get a picture with whoever is helping you out and you could also send a thank you card to the staff with the picture!
